Senior Instructor

The senior instructor and founder of the Myoshinkan Aikido Dojo is Mr. John LaMont, Aikido Godan (5th degree black belt). LaMont Sensei is an internationally recognized instructor, consultant and author with over 45 years of continuous martial arts training, including over 40 years in Aikido. LaMont Sensei has studied under Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei and Koichi Tohei Sensei, both direct students and uchi-deshi of Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido. He has also trained under Fumio Toyoda Shihan, founder of the American Aikido Association.

Also ranked in Tae Kwon Do, Goju Ryu Karate and Judo, LaMont Sensei has extensive hands-on, real world experience in law enforcement, special operations and crisis management at all levels. He is internationally active in ELINT International and Crisis Intervention Associates.
